In Harbor
I had been free from you for such a long time, the length had grown to hours.
Then a simple act of nature broke the spell with its almost magical powers.
The rain started my thinking again, something that has come to pass so much.
It created a longing that stirs my soul, wanting to see your face, feel your touch.
And the music that filled the room offered me no relief from the thoughts inside,
Thoughts that were filled with laughing and lounging in lilies with you by my side.
But alas, the words that were spoken between us only days ago must surely prevail.
The ship is at ready, proudly awaiting the command, but must never set sail.
